Mango Strawberry Smoothie recipes
for a little color and sunshine

Mangos and strawberries are two of my favourite fruits, so it seemed only right to combine them in a smoothie.  Ripe mangos are so sweet and juicy, and strawberries, well, go with just about anything.

I’m always rather sad when mango season comes to an end, so I then have to resort to the frozen variety because I just love adding mango to my smoothies, along with anything else I happen to have handy.

This is such a winning combination, it seems to produce the most amazing orange-peachy color.  You can combine mangos and strawberries with almost any other fruit and it will still taste amazing.  I’ve tried them with or without banana, added yogurt, alternated between almond and coconut milk and even added orange juice.

These mango strawberry smoothies are so easy to whip up and I had great fun creating all the different combos.

Strawberry Mango Yogurt Smoothie

Ingredients

1 mango
1 cup strawberries
1 cup vanilla yogurt
½ cup fresh orange juice

How to Make

Peel and chop mango and hull and chop strawberries.  Throw the chopped fruit into your blender and add the vanilla yogurt and orange juice.  Give your blender a whirl until your smoothie is thick and creamy.    Using frozen mango will make your smoothie deliciously chilled and creamy, otherwise use a few ice cubes.

Pour into 2 glasses and serve immediately.

Mango Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients

1 mango
1 cup strawberries
1 slice pineapple
½ cup coconut milk
Shredded coconut

How to Make

First prepare the fruit by peeling, de-seeding and chopping the mango into chunks.  Wash, hull and slice the strawberries.  Add to the blender with the pineapple and coconut milk.  Start your blender on low then turn up to high until your smoothie is creamy and frothy.

Pour into 2 glasses and top with some shredded coconut.

NOTE

If using canned pineapple, choose fruit canned in natural juice not syrup, so you don’t add unnecessary sugar to your smoothie.

Mango Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Rather than add honey or sugar, this smoothie uses a little bit of fresh orange juice as a sweetener and works beautifully.
